Rilsan® is easy to process, using most processing technologies, including extrusion, extrusion blow molding, injection molding and rotational molding. Rilsamid® MED polymers can be modified to deliver customized performance such as wide range of color, heat and light stabilization, radiopaque visualization, alloys and blends, plasticizers, lubricants, impact modifiers, reinforced with fibers, nano particles, etc.
Available Medical Grades:
Rilsan® BESVOA MED is a polyamide produced from a renewable source. This natural grade, dedicated to
extrusion, contains a negligible amount of oligomers. Rilsan® BESVOA MED offers the highest quality and it is
specifically designed to meet the stringent requirements of the medical applications such as minimally
invasive devices.
Rilsan® Clear G850 Rnew MED is a high performance transparent polyamide having outstanding purity level and partially based on renewable resources. This grade offers the highest quality and is specifically designed to meet the stringent requirements of the medical applications.
FKZM MED is a highly glass filled advanced polymer that has engineering material properties and performance with a bio-based and sustainable based polymer (polyamide 11).
It has excellent physical properties, along with biocompatibility, sterilizability (including steam), chemical resistance, processability, colorability (including a standard color pallet), and excellent aesthetics. Potential applications include surgical tools, medical housings, and medical equipment, among others.
